The R.O.A.R. Line-in-the-Sand tour is a series of forty-two patriotic celebrations in twenty-one cities designed to revive Oregonians’ commitment to their sacred heritage and the constitutional principles of Oregon and our nation.  We propose to do this by creating a month-long celebration of Oregon’s sesquicentennial, the 150th anniversary of Oregon statehood, in June, 2009. The message of this tour is:

1.                That Americans have an honorable history of standing for principles of freedom, despite enormous obstacles.

2.                That devotion to God, family and country are essential to the survival and prosperity of our society.

3.                That we need to unite in support of the principles and values expressed in our founding documents, including the Constitutions of the United States and Oregon, and the Declaration of Independence.

The 1 hour and 15 minute celebrations will begin at 11:45 on consecutive weekdays.  These will start in Ontario and follow the Oregon Trail to The Dalles, then south on SR-97 to Klamath Falls, then follow the Applegate Trail to Portland.

Our plan for the events is to recount the inspiring history of Oregon's pioneer founders, missionaries, and circuit riders, and include additional historic accounts significant to the 20 counties where the rallies will be taking place.  The tour is intended to renew reverence for the freedoms and sacrifices that have made America the envy of the world. 

This will be a soul stirring remembrance of our sacred heritage, typical of the sort that took place throughout America's history.
